Another filming setting was the school. This was used to show the characters Stacey and Zac before his death, to show Zac entering the toilets where he will never return and where his body is found. The conversation between the two characters will open the film in order to connote to the audience that the pair are happy and all is well. The different shots of Zacs body and the evidence will be shown in short clips incorporated in with clips of his best friend slowly going insane over his death. The shots of evidence connote the audience the element of crime therefore enticing them to go and watch the film. In my research I discovered that the thriller genre does not generally include schools as a typical setting but we wanted to challenge to convention as a school is seen as a safe place therefore having a dramatic death occur is even more shocking than normal.
