One of our filming settings was my house. At this setting the character Stacey is shown be trying to solve her best friends death. This connotes to the audience how determined she is to solve this crime. Stacey is only shown to be wakening up from nightmares, looking aggravatingly at her detective board and dropping alcohol bottles. These clips are going to be used to connote to the audience the deterioration of Stacey's mindset and how the death of her best friend is causing this. In my research I found out that many films of the thriller genre are set in houses such as 'The Purge'. This is because a house is generally known as a safe place therefore for something bad to happen her is out of the ordinary and even more shocking to the audience.
