Detective MarshallDetective Marshall is the head detective on the case of Zacs mysterious death. Although only her upper body will be seen as she is sat at her desk it is still crucial her costume is right to portray her role correctly. She will be wearing formal attire: a black blazer/ smart top, black trousers o skirt. Her hair will be neat and her make up minimal. All of these elements with contribute to her going across to the audience as formal and important. The trailer for 'The Girl On The Train' also includes a female detective wearing similar clothing conveying this is a convention of real media products.
Zachary Lane (Niall Hay)
Zac is a popular, happy teenage boy who attends St Neots school. He is very well liked and has many friends therefore when the dramatic event occurs many are left shocked. Things take a turn for the worst when he is found dead in the school toilets. His outfit will be casual and stylish, stereotypical attire for a teenage boy. He will be wearing black skinny jeans, a T shirt, trainers and a jacket. His hair will be short but styled.
Stacey is Zacs best friends and has been for years. She also is popular and has many friends. When the news of her best friends death is revealed she is prepared to do all she can to find out what has happened. Stacey will be seen in casual but stylish clothes stereotypical for a teenage girl. She will be wearing denim jeans, trainers, a t shirt and a black jacket. Her hair will be down and curly. The girls in the 'Split' trailer are seen to be wearing modern casual clothes connoting that this miss en scene is conventional to real media products.Mrs Lane (Jenny Arshed)
Mrs Lane otherwise known as Zac mum is a well known and well loved women. Who is understandably broken by the news of her sons death. She will be seen wearing a dressing gown due to the fact she will be in her own home at night and this is stereotypically the attire somene would wear at night time. The dressing gown also connotes warmth which also symbolises Mrs Lanes character. Her hair will be down and straight.
